Värnamo Hospital is one of three hospitals in Region Jönköping County. Around 85,000 people live in the hospital’s catchment area. The hospital has around 230 beds, which means it is just the right size to offer a pleasant and collaborative environment. We have several newly renovated nursing wards, and we have a modern dialysis unit and an equally modern ambulance intake.

The main tasks as a gastroenterologist specialist include a large clinical responsibility with a lot of patient contact. Here we have a smaller unit, which gives you as a doctor a greater responsibility for the patients and also a great opportunity to influence the operation and its goals. The unit has a joint scopy clinic together with the surgical clinic, which means that you as a doctor have the opportunity to collaborate with several professions with broad expertise and experience in a varied and rewarding role. We have close cooperation with the day care, colleagues in other units and the two other gastro units in the county.

You must have experience in gastroenterology including hepatology and internal medicine.
